Congratulations Simon on an amazing performance in Holding The Man. I knew knothing about the story before I saw the Matinee on 3rd July and I feel that I've been a part of something special and intimate - as though I was actually there, in the story! The sound of Gay Pride happening outside made it all the more poignant too.

I also, (I now realise), saw you in The Sound of Music with Connie which I greatly enjoyed. I will certainly look out for you in the future.

Simon, I went to Holding the Man last Wednesday evening in London. I was at school with John and Tim playing football with John and I sat behind them in english in Grade 12 (Form VI) at Xavier. It's funny, I was perhaps naive, I knew they were really close mates, but never considered it was a sexual relationship. I found Tim's book quite confronting, but it opened my eyes and certainly changed my attitude to gay people.
The performance by the whole cast was outstanding. I found the first half surreal because I recognised all the characters. Biscuits was actually a good friend in my school days - not the full packet, that's how he got the nick name.
Congratulations to all of you on such a great performance. The fact that so many people were in tears suggests how powerful was the play.

I was lucky enough to see you with the wonderful John Barrowman in La Cage aux Folles, and also in the Sound of Music at the London Palladium. Both occasions with my daughters in law. We loved the shows, especially La Cage. My son bought me your album for Christmas and it's playing as I write. My favourite is Song of the Sand..so beautiful.

I loved, loved, loved your portrayal of Capt. Von Trapp in TSOM last night, opposite Janna. It was the first time I'd seen the Capt. portrayed with a humorous edge, and I loved it. Also thought your chemistry with Janna was fantastic.

Is the CD 'in-store' or only available to purchase 'on-line'. Is there any way that Simon and John (Barrowman) could reprise their roles from 'La Cage..'onto CD. Apart from having the two most professional artists on one CD, it would seem a shame for the electric performances given in the show to be lost in the mists of time.

A true professional! So relaxed on stage whether singing or acting, must inspire others around him.
